Over the last 5 years, the Chinese have invested over $150 billion into the US housing market - $28.6 billion in 2015 alone. Currently one of the largest foreign homebuyers, the immense Chinese buying interested has helped the recovery of the US housing market.
What does this mean? Well you can expect a flurry of housing activity, particularly in the refinancing sector, as homeowners around the nation capitalize on the historically low rate.
The substantial increase in sales volume from Canadian buyers, helped foreign investment in U.S. residential real estate skyrocketed, as transactions grew in the top five countries where buyers originated.
