Location
Newton is conveniently situated along I-90 (the Mass Pike) and is an ideal place to live for those commuting to Boston for work or school. Additionally, I-95 (RT 128) runs along the city’s western border. While Newton is primarily residential, it provides easy access to a wide range of local entertainment options, including movie theaters, fitness centers, shopping malls and parks.
Education
Newton Public Schools are considered among some of the best in the area. There are over a dozen elementary schools, four middle schools and two high schools - Newton North High School and Newton South High School.
There are also several great private schools in the area, including Fessenden School, Jackson School and Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston.
Transportation
The Green Line D Branch runs through the center of Newton and the B Branch ends at Boston College, at the border of Brighton and Newton. The MBTA Worcester Rail also offers service to Newton in the northern Villages.
