Energy drink success story Russ Weiner relisted his custom-built Park City retreat, Monitor’s Rest, this winter. The resort-like, ski-in ski-out property is back on the market with an asking price of $50 million.
The estate is situated in The Colony at White Pine Canyon; at large, it checks in at 4.97 acres. The house is a carefully-designed trophy, glass-sided to make the most of the local wilderness panorama, with a central courtyard and a tech-intensive lifestyle profile that includes Delos’ DARWIN network. It contains six bedrooms and at least nine baths across its 17,567 sq. ft.; the single-level design gives the house a remarkable footprint and narrative presence.
The spa-like amenities in the house take top billing. The list includes a wellness center, gym, 60-foot stainless indoor/outdoor swimming pool, hammam, massage room, indoor sports court, sauna, golf simulator, and Himalayan salt room. Also featured: an office, a billiards room with wet bar, a bowling alley, a 4k theater, and a tower — the strangest architectural feature of the house — which offers views which are very fine indeed.
Materials used in the build include Croatian limestone and charred cypress. Skylights are used liberally to brighten the home, with the kitchen’s installation particularly noteworthy; the bedroom suites are all individual, with hardwood, tile, and natural stone as constants.
