Through a joint initiative with 'New Story', an international nonprofit, eXp realty has successfully surpassed its goal to build 100 new homes in Morelos, Mexico. The fundraising effort had begun in May 2021 in response to the 7.1-magnitude earthquake that devastated the community of Morelos, Mexico in September of 2017. eXp Realty leadership visited the region from June 9-11 to visit the homes that the donations made possible. eXp has opened brokerage operations in Mexico in November 2020. It was the first Spanish-language country in the global expansion for eXp realty and the ideal fit for the company's community-based culture. CEO of 'New Story,' Brett Hagler said that "Our goal is to improve the resilience of communities for the long-term" and "eXp Realty's partnership allows us to keep implementing sustainable innovations to provide the lasting stability families deserve."
