Things To Do in Newton, MA (Weekend of 10/10)

Are you looking for the best way to get out of the house and spend time here in Newton? This city has so much to offer whether you want to see the great outdoors, spend some time on the town, or do something new and creative. Check out our top “to-do’s” this weekend in Newton!

Pumpkin Picking- Allandale Farm

October will always hold the exclusive rights to Pumpkin picking and carving, and this weekend is the perfect chance to get into the outdoors, and spend some time with the kids. There’s no better place to go than Allendale Farm, it’s been a family favorite for years and there’s plenty of open space to give you and your family room to spread out.

The Paint Bar

Although their official studios are closed due to COVID-19, they are still hosting painting classes online on Zoom, and these talented artists will have you laughing and drinking all night from the comfort and safety of your own home. This is a great way to support local creatives and their businesses.

Outdoor Yoga

Another great way to get out of the house and get back in the healthy groove! This yoga class is socially distanced outdoors and hosted by some of the area’s best experts. Learn more & sign up here.

Hit The Town

Although winter is right around the corner, it is still a great time to take advantage of outdoor seating while there’s still some warmth left. Our recent favorites have been Farmstead Table, Little Big Diner, and sycamore. Each is extremely unique and worth checking out!

Visit Echo Bridge

This incredible bridge has some breathtaking views, and is a treasured historic landmark. The bridge has two viewing locations, the pedestrian walk on top of the bridge and a platform underneath where visitors can hear the eponymous echoes. If you stand on the platform underneath the bridge, the echo is astounding. Shout a short phrase and then the entire phrase comes back to you! Views include white water, a waterfall and the hemlock-lined gorge.
