Boston is known for it's expensive rental market, and recently a condo in an expensive area of Boston, Back Bay, was sold for $12.5 million and now holds the title as one of the most expensive condo sold in Boston, according to Scott Van Voorhis, a Boston.com Correspondent.

The condo features only two bedrooms and two and a half baths, so one wouldn't think that it would be so expensive! The 12th floor condo in the Mandarin Oriental is 3,222 square feet, which puts the condo at a whopping $3,880 per square foot. According to Voorhis, this is the record breaking news.
The Mandarin Oriental also contains a five-star hotel, 50 condos, and 25 apartments, and is in the middle of one of Boston's more expensive neighborhoods.
Voorhis also insists that this is a sign that Boston's luxury market is becoming even more outrageously expensive.
How does this compare to the market in your area?
