24 Hour Fitness Founder, Mark Mastrov, Selling Cali Hideout for $14M

facade

Mark Mastrov, the founder of 24 Hour Fitness, is looking for a buyer for his Lafayette, CA, residence. The Bay Area estate is on the market for just under $14M. The unique part of this offer is the chance to own an additional 1-acre parcel of land.

Mastrov acquired the over-3-acre property back in 2006 for $4.35M. The FSBO, single-family home is listed for the same price as when the entrepreneur attempted to sell in 2017.

The contemporary custom-built property was designed by J. Gorny, who gave it a villa-inspired touch. The home's layout features a great room with vaulted ceilings, several dining areas, a formal and family living room, an open kitchen with a massive island, 4 bedrooms,  five and a half bathrooms with artisan fixtures from natural materials, a deluxe gym, and a three-car garage.

For entertainment, the home offers an aquarium, a >20 seat movie theater, a video game lounge, a bar, and  a billiard area.

The properties amenities offer plenty of entertainment such as tennis, basketball, and bocce ball courts, and a putting green. The home has a resort-style pool with waterfalls, a fire pit, and a lanai lounge with its own fireplace. The grotto conceals the hot tub, as well as a flat screen TV for Scarface-esque soaks. Hopefully the new owner can enjoy it in a much more positive situation than that infamous scene, but we'll see.

This custom estate is currently on the market for just short of $14M.
